I get to play with this! Need to get her running, don’t know how to correctly start or drive.
It’s a 1927 Chevrolet 2 door coupe, Probably a 40 year old resto. Was in a Minneapolis museum for a number of years. Larry digs up cool cars. He got it for more than a cavalier, but less than a cutlass. 4 cylinders, 3 speeds. spark and throttle on the steering wheel, no front brakes, mechanical rear brakes and the windshield rolls up and down. We will have to figure out how to drive it once it’s running.

can always ask google how to start it.. be more fun going to an old folks home and asking there.
realistically, dial the timing way back before you crank it over. is it a hand crank?

If it’s like the model T, the starter button is on the floor somewhere. I can see the choke is on the dash, and just remember to retard the spark before starting. It looks like it has a foot throttle too.

It’s way more modern than a T but not quite as advanced as an A, just need to find out where to set “retard/advance” and “open/close” lever on the steering wheel, clean the carb, new 6 volt battery, some fuel and it should run, hopefully has some kind of timing marks on it.

retarding the spark is very important. also a lot of these older cars have a manual fuel shut off as the tank just drips down to the carb.

good to know, I’ll check for that, fuel tank (and guage) are just inside the back bumper, so I’m thinking it has a fuel pump. There were a bunch of us went to see the new old car so we all just had a looky-loo, too many cooks.

thanks, that doesn’t look too hard. Larry and the treasures he digs up are part of the reason I’m good with old cars. 89 year old cars are just a little out of my sphere, and also that of the old guys I learned from.

You just set the timing by feel with the lever (unless you mean actually setting the timing and not the advance). Today’s regular gas has a much higher octane than what was around in 1927 so you don’t have to be that careful with the lever. I know a lot of model T guys just put it into full advance as soon as the car is moving, and leave it there.
